If selections, site conditions, or scope changes may affect your budget, we communicate early and in writing. Any additional work requires a written change order with your approval before we proceed.

What does a typical project timeline look like?

Accepted Answer

Kitchen remodels typically run 6 to 10 weeks from permit approval. Bathroom remodels are 3 to 5 weeks. Whole-home renovations range from 3 to 6 months depending on scope. We give you a week-by-week schedule at project kickoff and update it every Friday. You always know exactly where we are.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. Permits are included in our scope and handled entirely in-house. We know the Ada and Canyon County permit offices well and build permit timelines into your project schedule from day one. You never have to chase paperwork.

Can I stay in my home during the remodel?

For most kitchen and bathroom projects, yes, with some daily inconvenience. We install dust barriers, protect floors, and schedule noisy work for reasonable hours. For whole-home renovations or additions involving HVAC or electrical throughout the house, we will give you an honest assessment at consultation of whether staying is practical.

We partner with GreenSky and Mosaic to offer flexible financing options on qualifying projects. Applications take about five minutes and you can get a decision the same day. We can walk you through options at your free in-home consultation.

What does the free in-home visit include?

A 60 to 90 minute walkthrough with our lead designer and estimator. We look at your space, discuss your goals and wish list, share relevant design ideas, and give you a planning range on the spot. No pressure. You leave with information, not a sales pitch.

Are 3D renderings and visualizations included?

3D renderings and visualizations are available as an optional design enhancement for clients who want to visualize their project before construction begins. They are not included on every project. They add to both project investment and design timeline, but many clients find them valuable for major layout and finish decisions. Ask about this during your consultation.

What is your workmanship guarantee?

We stand behind our work with a written workmanship guarantee. If something we built or installed fails due to workmanship (not normal wear or homeowner modifications), we fix it at no charge. We also pass through all manufacturer warranties on fixtures and cabinetry.

How does design-build compare to hiring a separate architect and general contractor?

With design-build, your designer, estimator, and construction lead work together from day one under one roof. That means layout, selections, permits, and schedule stay aligned, and you have one accountable team if something needs to change. With separate architect and GC contracts, scope gaps and finger-pointing are common when costs or timelines shift mid-project.

Do you work with subcontractors or your own employees?

We employ a core in-house team for project management, design coordination, and key trades. Specialized work is performed by vetted trade partners we have worked with repeatedly. Your project manager remains your single point of contact regardless of who is on site any given day.

What happens if I am not satisfied during the project?

We address concerns in writing as they come up, not at the end when it is harder to fix. Weekly Friday updates include what was completed, what is next, and any decisions needed from you. If something does not match the approved scope or finish selections, we walk it with you and make it right before closeout.
